Chouette nouvelle pour les fans ! Le DLC de Combat Mission Cold War nous fait la surprise de sortir à l’occasion du Home Of Wargamers 2025, événement phare de Slitherine. Disponible depuis hier, cette extension conséquente intitulée British Army of the Rhine traite de l’arrivée des Britanniques, des Canadiens et des forces du VDV dans cet hypothétique conflit. Elle ajoute 3 campagnes (une pour chacune des trois “factions” précédentes), 12 scénarios et un nouveau terrain de jeu, soit de quoi replonger dans les années 70-80 pour un long moment.
Il s’agit peut-être de la dernière extension de Combat Mission v2, sauf si Slitherine se motive à sortir le dlc de Black Sea mis de côté en raison du conflit en Ukraine. Qui de mieux que Cold War, meilleur opus de la série selon moi, pour clore le chapitre actuel avant Combat Mission 3 ? Rendez-vous courant octobre pour le test !

Building on the success of Combat Mission: Cold War, the British Army of the Rhine expands the “Cold War gone hot” experience with new nations, units, and campaigns that capture the intensity of late 1970s and early 1980s Northern Europe.
Take command of legendary NATO and Warsaw Pact forces, each recreated with the meticulous detail fans of the series expect:
- British Army of the Rhine (BAOR): Field iconic UK vehicles and weapons including the FV432 series, Swingfires, Strikers, Scorpions, Scimitars, and the mighty Chieftain tank.
- Canadian 4th Mechanized Brigade Group (4 CMBG): A unique mix of NATO equipment, from Centurion and Leopard C1 tanks to Lynx 25mm vehicles, plus the last flamethrowers deployed by any NATO force in Europe.
